The Food Closet is in need of the following items:
canned meats (vienna sausage, potted meat, tuna, spam); canned fruits (peaches, pineapple, apples) canned vegetables (diced tomatoes, beans-pinto, kidney, and pork); marinara sauces; rice; pasta (spaghetti, macaroni, lasagna, spiral); boxed macaroni & cheese; assorted jellies; peanut butter; boxes of cereal and oatmeal.  Please limit the sizes of the jars and cans to the regular sizes. Any donations you give are greatly appreciated.

We are in need of the following items for the food pantry (no economy size please).

Canned Vegetables: Green Beans, Corn,  Cream of Corn, Carrots, Peas, Mix Vegs.
Misc:  Jelly, Chef Boyardee, Mac and Cheese, Can Fruit, Ketchups, Mustards, Mayonnaises, Pasta, Instant mash potatoes, Rice
Breakfast items: Pancake mix, Syrup, Cereal
Bake Goods: Dry Milk/Evaporate Milk ,Instant Jell-O's, Instant pudding

Bringing an End to All City Homelessness

Kits And Flood Buckets For Church World Service
Below is a list of the items for the kits. Please do not insert money into kits. If you prefer, you can make a donation to ei-ther the UMWomen or to the UMMen to help purchase the items. For the kits, write your check to the UMW Treasurer or for the buckets, write your check to the UMM Treasurer. ALL KITS ARE DUE BY JUNE 9.

Health Kits
  • 1 hand towel (15"x25" up to 17"x27").
  • 1 washcloth. 1 comb (large and sturdy, not pocket size).
  • 1 nail file, emery board or clippers 1 bar of soap (3 oz. and up).
  • 1 adult toothbrush (in the original wrapper,).
  • 6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages.
  • Bundle all items into a gallon size Ziploc plastic bag.
School Kits
  • 1 pair of blunt scissors.
  • 3 pads 8 1/2x11 inch ruled paper (250 sheets total).
  • 1 30 centimeter ruler.
  • 1 hand held pencil sharpener.
  • 6 unsharpened pencils with erasers.
  • 1 2 ½ inch eraser.
  • 1 box of 24 crayons.
  • 1 14x16 inch cloth bag with handles, velcro, snap or button closure.
  • Bundle small items in cloth bag, fold top over and secure with two large rubber bands.
Flood Buckets
  • One 32-64 oz. bottle liquid laundry detergent.
  • One 16-40 oz. bottle liquid concentrate household cleaner.
  • One 16-34 oz. bottle dish soap.
  • One 4-8 oz. pump spray air freshener (three solid, or three gel fresheners also acceptable).
  • One 6-14 oz. pump spray insect repellent (pack of 10-20 wipes also acceptable).
  • Pump spray bottles must have protective covers.
  • One scrub brush with or without handle.
  • 18 re-useable cleaning wipes. No terrycloth, microfiber or paper towels (remove from packaging).
  • Five scouring pads sponges. No stainless-steel pads with soap in them (remove from packaging).
  • 36-50 clothespins. One 50-100 ft. clothesline (cotton or plastic line).
  • 24 roll of heavy-duty trash bags (33-45-gallon sizes) (remove from packaging).
  • Five N95 particulate respirator dust masks (1-3 mm thickness). No surgical masks Two pairs kitchen gloves, durable for multiple uses (remove from packaging).
  • One pair work gloves. Cotton with leather palm or all leather.
